Questions

Things people ask before signing

How do engagements usually start?

With a 45-minute call, then a short written proposal. If there is real uncertainty about scope we recommend starting with a Sprint — it costs less than getting a Project brief wrong, and it can be credited against a follow-on engagement.

Do you work with in-house teams or replace them?

Alongside them, always. Your engineers pair with ours from the first cycle, and every design decision is documented in a place your team can read without us. Handover is a process that runs the whole engagement, not a meeting at the end.

What do the prices actually include?

Everything the team does: design, engineering, research, project management and handover. There is no separate discovery invoice and no charge for the tooling we bring. Travel is billed at cost and only when you ask for it.

Who owns the work?

You do, in full — code, design files, research and documentation, transferred on final payment. We ask only for permission to write about the project, and you have final approval on anything we publish.

How quickly can you start?

Typically four to six weeks out for a Project, sooner for a Sprint if a slot opens. Retained Partner clients get reserved capacity, which is the main reason teams move to that model.

Which technologies do you build with?

TypeScript, React and Next.js by default, with whatever backend your team already runs. We are deliberately conservative about adding dependencies — everything we introduce is something your team can maintain after we leave.

Do you do fixed-price work?

For Sprints, yes. For longer work we quote a monthly rate and a range of cycles, because a fixed price on an unfixed scope just moves the risk somewhere less visible. We re-forecast in writing every second cycle.

What happens after launch?

Projects include three months of support: bug fixes, small changes and a monthly check-in. After that, teams either take it fully in-house — which is the point — or move to a Partner retainer.

Still working out the shape of it?

Most engagements start with a 45-minute call and no obligation. We will tell you if we are the wrong studio for the job.
